I.M.P.A.C.T. began in the fall of 1997 as a parent support group. Meeting twice a month at a local Burger King, mothers of autistic children discussed our children's needs, new therapies, etc. Starting with just a few moms, the number increased over the last few years. There are now 125 children with autism in the Middletown school system.
